Moving To New School (Narrative Essay) - By Muaz Nazmi

          Moving to a new school is not normal thing for me, there are many things that I have to adapt, including the new culture, friends and teachers. This is not an easy thing for me because I am already suitable to the culture of the old school which has been ingrained in me. Therefore, I have to dare myself to be a friendly person so that I can find new friends and get to know the teacher more closely.

 

          My first day of class was very good but I felt a lot of things were wrong with the school because when I go to the canteen on recess. I saw there are many boys than girls. So I was curious to know why gender are not equal in this school. I dare myself to approach a student and ask him. He said this happened because of the thinking of the people here thinks that women doesn’t require higher education because when they grow up, they will become housewives too and borne by husband for their entire live. Then I monologued and said this thing should not happen because every person have their dream job to be achieved.

 

          After that, break time left a few minutes I walk around the school with my new friend and he introduced the facilities at the school, I do not regret moving to this school because of the many interesting facilities such as complete sport equipment gym and more. But I notice something wrong with the facilities here that is most of equipment here are only suitable for boys for instance ball size for girl is size 4 while for boys is size 5 but here it just have size 5. So this shows inequality in gender that should not happen because girl also need the equipment that suitable for them.

 

          After walking around the school with my friend, I go to the class for learning session. When learing session began I noticed something weird that is boys in the class seem to be marginalized. I said this because teacher care more to female student dan male. Even though there are fewer female students than male, teachers need to give equal attention to all student so that no student is left behind.

 

          Lastly, when the school session is over. I list all the problems that I noticed and wrote in a paper and then I put it in the complaint box. I hope this inequalties problem can be solved so that all gender got their rights.
