HOUSE CHORES (ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY) ~ BY FASHA

      House chores are a task as a daily routine that should be done almost everyday at home to get harmony in the house. As we know, house chores is usually done by women. However, it does not mean that men can avoid the responsibility of doing house chores. This is because both women and men need to work together in doing house chores to keep the house clean. Most people especially men think that house chores is only a women’s job. I believe that men should be involved in doing house chores.

      Men should be involved in doing house chores because there are some house chores that women can’t do alone and need help from men. Heavy house chores done alone by women might harm them that’s why they need help and supervision from men to avoid unwanted things.  For example, throwing out large garbage and wiping the ceiling fan. This shows that women need help from men to do house chores even if it is an easy job. Men should help in doing house chores to lighten women’s burden, for example washing the dishes. It is clear that men should not be ashamed to do house chores but instead be proud to help women as a gentleman.

      In addition, house chores are not a job assigned only to women because cleanliness is something that should be taken care of by all individuals regardless of gender. This is because hygiene is very important to keep healthy. House chores should be done by both gender to be fair without discriminating against women. For example, house chores such as cooking can be done by either gender. Both can learn to cook for themselves in order to cultivate self-reliance. This is because women and men will definitely feel the experience of living alone. Therefore, doing house chores can teach someone to be more independent in everything other than house chores.

      Some people may not agree that men should do house chores because men are already responsible for working for the family and leaving the house chores to women. However, nowadays many women also have their own careers because most women diligently continue their studies to a high level. Therefore, women also really expect men’s help and tolerate each other in doing house chores to less the burdens. Both men and women are busy with their respective careers to get a financially stable life so that sometimes the responsibilities at home are neglected especially house chores.
