Struggle is real (Narrative Essay) -Anis Mazleen

It was a cold day in the school, Dheo, the first-grade science student, had been trying to do his best to gain knowledge about science even though he doesn't like that subject. On the first day in the class, he had so many assignments that his teacher gave to him. The work brought him to go library which he had never been there before because he wanted to find information about the earth and the stars to finish his assignment.

When he got there, he immediately went to the science bookshelf and found the books that he can bring home. He saw it at the counter and he walked peacefully. When he said he want to borrow the books, the teacher said that she hesitated to lend them because many male students previously sent back borrowed books in bad condition. So, he took the books and he was disappointed because he saw her friend, Diana can borrow books even though they were in the same class.

He back home and found the information on his computer and finally, the assignment was finished in 4 days. But, he felt that his vision is blurred and he realizes that he spent too much time in front of the computer. So, he decided to go to the library again to borrow a book with the excuse that his eyes hurt from constantly looking up information on the computer. The situation is still the same. He can't borrow books. He still struggled to go to the library again and again but still fail to borrow books.

He back home and told his mother that he want to buy spectacles because his eyes became short-sighted and told her that he cannot borrow books until he has to use his computer from morning to night. Of course, Dheo got scolded and his mother went to the school's library to ask on her own why the teacher don't want boys to borrow books but the girl still can borrow them. She told the teacher that as a teacher, they cannot differentiate between boys and girls. The teacher cannot stop other people from borrowing books just because a few people make a problem. That is an injustice for the students and causes problems for the students until it causes myopia.

The teachers realized that their actions were not fair to boy students at school. She apologized to Dheo and gave Dheo to borrow books. The teacher also realized that they should fine students, who only make mistakes and still allow boys students to borrow books. Dheo also thinks that his struggle to always come to the library finally paid off. He can borrow some books there now to finish another assignment.
