EXPOSITORY ESSAY: EFFECT GENDER INEQUALITY IN SCHOOL (AQIL)

As you know, school is a place for children to built or improve their talent in extracurricular and curriculum. However, today in school there is some issue that always happen which is gender inequality in school. This issue becoming more prevelant from time to time because no one want to be responsible. Gender Inequality is discriminations in making unjustified distinctions between people based on the group, class or other than that. In school, this issue always happen based on their gender. As examples, teacher always frequently speak in softer voice to girls than boys. Gender inequality will provide many problems in the future for the next generation.

 

The first effect of gender inequality in school is that the students will no have the chance to follow their own career that they like in the curriculum and extracurricular. Stuff like this can be seen when the teacher usually favour on picking the male student than the female students to join an event that have been organize by the school. For instances when the sports day or camping get organize only a few big students have been selected is from the male student, all of this because the teacher thinks that the female are weak and does not have that much stamina than the male students that have always shown being active during various activities. And so if this thing kept happening it will make the female students becoming less skills dan adept on certain parts all because they doesn’t get the chance to shown and hone the skill.

The second effect is that the student quality that have been produce is different between the gender. The quality on the female students is way better than the male because most of the time the female student is given chance by the school to join the motivation activities and academic activities than the males students, this is because the teacher and the school thinks that the males student are less favourable or does not suitable to take part in the activities of education and learning experience. For example, the school are more prefer for the male student to join sports than asking them to show off or polished their skill on academics.

For the conclusion, we must ignore and forget our ancestor mindset that been a stigma to the society for a while. We have to bring equality opportunity to all the gender and not undermine the effort of others just because of the gender they are born with
