A Boy with Big Dreams (Narrative) ~by Diana

16-year-old Junhan has always desired to be a cheerleader and be a part of the school's cheerleading squad. He has been bullied since he was a youngster and has been accused of being gay for his soft behaviour and desire to join the cheerleading squad. Junhan, however, didn't give a damn about them and did everything in his power to make the team by passing the selection.

He gave it his all on the day of selection, but regrettably he was not chosen since he lacks the qualifications to be a cheerleader. Junhan went home and sobbed in his chamber, "My dreams are destroyed." When she entered his room, she asked him, "Why are you crying? You're already sixteen. After telling his mother everything, Junhan's parents suggested that he take a gymnastics lesson. “Doing so will make you better”, they said. He gave his folks a bear hug right after.

Over the course of two years, Junhan improved steadily as a gymnast by practicing frequently and competing in several events. Additionally, once he started attending university, he became more self-assured. On the first week of orientation, everyone needs to a club activity so Junhan was determined to join the cheerleading club. Despite this, he must interview for the club to maintain its position as the best cheerleading organization among colleges. “Do you have any skills?”, the senior's inquired during the interview. We only require skilled, competitive members. So, in response, Junhan performed a backflip as well as other tricks. They were astounded, and speechless from shock. They said, "You're fantastic and incredibly talented." Without a doubt, Junhan succeeded and was accepted to the cheerleading squad. He told his best friend about it because he was so ecstatic.

Junhan was selected to participate in a cheer competition between two universities a week later. The squad worked diligently for a month in preparation for the competition. Time had come. The competition got underway exactly as expected. Friends of Junhan came to support and encourage the team. Junhan, however, observed his high school bullies from the other institution who had come to watch the competition as they were performing. He was being booed, and they posted images of him with comments claiming he was gay. Junhan informed his friend all about it and said, "They still hadn't learned their lesson." He honestly didn't give a damn, though, because he had already achieved success and had realized his aspirations.

However, his seniors were so furious that they reacted by complaining to the opposing cheerleading squad. They were suspended when Junhan's team won the competition as a result of this issue becoming a major one. Furthermore, because of the bully's actions, his team advances to the finals and their adversary makes an apology to them. Junhan was appreciative of and delighted by their actions in bringing attention to gender inequality.
