THE END OF AGONY (by Izzat)
The sun shined through the window. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations. Hanna, a gorgeous intelligent woman in the town, was sitting on the chair and waiting passionately in front of her computer, waiting for an acceptance letter to be a teacher. The announcement was made, and she went on to jump happily, reading that she was accepted as a new teacher in a rural school named Gatha Mor.
A few months passed, and she finally arrived at her new school. She was stunned by looking at the environment. Everything looked gloomy, and most of the students were boys. She ignored the questions that played in her mind and walked straight to the office to register as a new teacher. She got the teaching schedule and started her lesson. Everything goes well on the first day, but she keeps thinking about her question.
After the school bell rang, she went to the lounge room to have lunch with her colleague and have a small conversation with them. After some time had passed, she asked her colleague, " Why were most of the students in this school are boys?" asked Hanna. Her colleague answered, "people in this village only let their son go to school and not the daughter. It happened because their daughter has to help their mother do house chores and get married when they have appropriate age". She nodded in agreement and prepared to go home.
On her way home, she heard whimpering from behind the shady oak trees. She was looking forward to the sound and found an adorable girl named Lily. Hanna asked Lily why is she crying while wiping her tears. She answered, "I want to go to school like my brother, but my mother doesn't let me", with a hoarse voice. After done consulted Lily, she decided to meet her parents. She explained everything about the incident and pleaded to let their daughter go to school. She was expecting that they would accept her plea, but instead, she got scolded by them and said that Hanna was trying to go against the beliefs of their ancestors. Starting from that, she knows that is something wrong with their thought about their culture.
At midnight she changed into her pajamas and crawled into bed while thinking about the solution to the problems. After a while, she finally got an idea. She decided to collaborate with the government and campaign to make the community aware of the importance of learning. After a campaign to another drive, they accepted her words and started sending their daughter to school. Her effort was worth it and ended with flying colors.
